NAFDAC WARNS NIGERIANS OVER CONSUMPTION OF HERBAL DRUGS

The National Agency for Food, Drugs Administration & Control NAFDAC, yesterday warns Nigerians against consumption of herbal products which has not been approved by the agency. It also warned practitioners/producers of such products to obtain advert permit from the agency before selling to the general public.
Ebonyi State coordinator of the agency, Mr. Richard Anichukw held a meeting with National Association of Traditional Medicine Dealers and said the agency is looking forward to having an effective relationship with herbal practitioners to ensure safety of lives.
Also, they came to an agreement to scrutinize all herbal products produced by members of the group.
